The ideal candidate needs to be fully competent in MS SQL with considerable knowledge of the tool including jobs, services, stored procedures, performance tuning, and SSRS reporting skills. They should be good communicators both internally and externally with the ability to express facts, concepts and handover effectively to both junior and senior resources. They should be problem-solvers that are able to adapt quickly to different situations and environments. They need to understand and interpret the assigned client’s business requirements with minimum possible documentation, conceptualize the solution, develop and test the designed code that achieves the end-user requirements. They need to be comfortable working remotely and under pressure to meet reporting deadlines and work independently rather than in a managed role. The job profile expects excellence, coding of the best quality and practices, as well as consistent delivery of the tasks at hand and commitment to deadlines.
